Sometimes, we are watching a video but don’t know the real facts of that content or are unable to rely on that content because of the source.
To solve this problem of users, YouTube has a plan to label the content for viewer clarification regarding AI-generated or human-generated content.
Youtube new policies also include a crackdown on AI-generated voiceovers, which have become increasingly popular in recent years. These voiceovers, created using AI technology, can be used to generate fake news, propaganda, or misinformation.
To prevent the spread of such content, YouTube will require all AI-generated voiceovers to be clearly labelled and disclosed to the viewer.
New YouTube Policy Update
YouTube is updating its terms and conditions frequently based on the user experience, security purposes, or monetization policies. So, here are the three main Youtube new policies;
AI-generated content must be Labelled by YouTube Creators
Deepfake voices, deepfake ai generated videos, or AI-generated songs or voices must be labelled AI generated, for the same YouTube provides a mockup of how the description will look later, and this policy is set to take effect from next year.
This feature will be used for sensitive topics, public health crises, public officials, etc; because this type of content sometimes manipulates the user’s sentiments or behaviours and so this type of content will be removed if it violates YouTube community guidelines.
So, keep this in mind, while using AI for YouTube videos, otherwise the next may be your channel.
Now people can request content removal; if it seems fake
In the past few months, YouTube has had many complaints about face consequences i.e.,- fake face, fake voice, etc.
YouTube’s community rules already ban fraudulent or misleading material, whether created by AI or not. Suppose a user feels that a video breaches these criteria. In that case, they may report it using YouTube’s flagging system, and administrators will assess the material to determine if it should be deleted.
Based on the above, users can request the removal of content showing an individual’s face, or voice without their consent.
Music partners will also be able to detect and remove unauthorised content more readily if AI-generated music is tagged. This will aid in ensuring that artists and songwriters are fairly rewarded for their work and will assist in preventing the proliferation of illegal copies.
If you are using a fake AI song generator for your YouTube video, then take care of this update, otherwise this will penalise your content or channel.
YouTube uses AI detector to evaluate policy violation content faster
Now, YouTube will automatically detect fake content or content that violates their policy, while focusing on improving user experiences through their feedback. Not every content from YouTube is removed, many factors will be analysed and then related video content will be removed or penalised.
So, these are the three Youtube new policies that will be seen from next year, and if you are a YouTube creator then take care of these while creating your content. Here is the official YouTube new policy source, have a look at it and stay connected with our latest tech updates.
